Oh no… it’s here.

China in my dreams?

See this billboard of rolling green grass stretching into endless blue skies?

Yup, today is exactly NOT what Tianjin looks like. The day I dreaded most has arrived – the day of a sweltering summer.

I stepped out of my fantastic air-conditioned hotel today just to go to the bank across the street, but just those 100m already sent my skin into shock. It was humid, oppressive and plain disgusting. I wanted to retreat back immediately.

Too bad I already made a date with my colleagues to watch η›Έε£° (chinese crosstalk) together. The theatre had better have air-con, otherwise I’m bolting.

It’s always good to be prepared for the worst before coming here, because your mind automatically switches into survival mode. And if that fails, there’s always the autumn to look forward to! πŸ™‚

WEEKEND!!
