This past week has been just GORGEOUS. After the rain came not just the sun, but the fresh breeze of autumn.
I’m absolutely thrilled that September has brought such a pleasant surprise (since I was prepared to brave another month of a sweltering summer. Though to be fair, TJ brings a rather mild summer compared to Shanghai or Singapore).
So these days, it’s been refreshing enough for me to strap on my backpack, wear comfy slips and take a 25 min stroll to my shuttle bus stop where the cute bus sends us to work.
I gotta say, not having to drive to work also brings another pleasure to the morning. I have so much more time to spend planning my day, working out my expenses, even counting my calories. heheh. That correlate I tell ya!
Speaking of which, I blew my budget at Yaxiu last weekend, the fake goods paradise for foreigners like us hungry for schnitts like cookie cutter Polo Ralph tees and 20 ties for 200RMB.
It’s amazing how much you can blow when you’re given 15 mins to shop. It’s deprivation gone bad. Sigh… next time, I’m shopping without the hubby lurkin’ in corners!
