Alright.
Today is round about 2 months since I started work in Tianjin. Already felt like 6!
The amount of adjustment we had to make to start living cannot be underestimated. For one, we literally hop out of bed everyday at 6am sharp because we’re so scared we’d be late to catch our trains/buses.
We’ve developed a rapid obsession with finding our must-haves (or rather, the keeps-us-sane): good bread, good butter (mine), vincent’s yogurt, cereal, pasta. I’m pretty much salad salad salad. Yeah, i’m so rabbitish these days I’m moving on to harder vegeratbles because the lettuces here look so forlorn from being raped by so many groping hands.
Work’s been good to me, especially my colleagues who’ve been, seriously, amazing. One of whom though, has wrapped up her term and is leading a new sexy life back in Singers. I was kinda sad because she’d have made a really good buddy. I adore her personality. She’s certainly someone to watch on the professional front!

Anyway, my small feat of 2 months is a mere pat on the shoulder to keep looking forward. China’s so full of ‘surprises’ that each day can be so easy to complain about if you choose to look from one perspective.
Vincent’s sex metallic chick, for example, is one China babe that looks hot but well, leaves more to be desired.
His tyre went flat for no reason yesterday, then the battery acted up and decided to die on us on our way back from dinner. I ended up lugging all our bags while my poor Swiss peddled that bike+10k of battery weight clutching onto a Chinese map. Yeah, that’s how you learn in China. Yeah, it was seriously annoying. But at least he learnt that Anshun Road and Hami Road are one-way streets. 🙂 Always useful for the future.
Alright, so I’m gonna join my dear tired MBA candidate husband in bed. He’s already dreaming of sheep while I type.
Tomorrow – big day for us! We’re comin’ home to getycha TT!!! *hoothoot*
